Allstate to bring 2,250 jobs to Charlotte over 3 years

Allstate Corp. (ALL) announced Wednesday it would bring 2,250 jobs over three years as part of an operations center in Charlotte. The insurance company, one of the nation’s largest, plans to invest $22.6 million in the Charlotte economy as part of the expansion, according to Gov. Roy Cooper, who was on hand for the jobs announcement at the Charlotte Chamber. Allstate’s expansion is one of the largest jobs expansion announcements for one region in North Carolina, eclipsing Infosys’ job announcement in the Triangle earlier this year by a couple hundred.
