Allstate adding 750 positions in and around Chicago

Allstate is moving quickly to boost its insurance agent force in Illinois by 750 positions, the Northfield, Illinois-based company said on Friday. The move reflects the increasingly competitive insurance landscape both locally and nationwide. Allstate (NYSE: ALL) also said the staffing increase will help the insurance company “keep pace with growing consumer demand for insurance and financial products and services in Illinois.” Said Allstate strategic deployment leader Matt Stevens: “We are seeing increased demand for all types of consumer protection, ranging from auto and home insurance to financial advice and planning to smartphone and identity theft products.
